About Staffies

Staffordshire bull terriers have suffered a great deal from overbreeding and bad press in recent years. Sadly, many have ended up in our care through irresponsible ownership.

However, with the right training Staffies can make wonderful pets, and many of the Staffies in our care are well behaved, affectionate and playful.

Buying a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy

If you're thinking of buying a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy, think carefully about the commitment you're about to make. Remember, a Staffy puppy will need lots of training and socialisation, as this will mean they're able to enjoy the company of other dogs and the freedom of being off lead when they grow up.

If you're sure that a Staffy is the right breed for you and you can provide a 'forever' home for one, make sure you're buying from a reputable breeder. Check out our advice on finding a good puppy breeder to ensure you don't buy from a puppy farm.
