Scores of events will be happening simultaneously across England and Wales, in a bid to raise all important funds for the RSPCA's network of branches and animal centres and help all of the animals in their care.

Last year the day raised an estimated £40,000 for the charity and its local branches and in total, around 12,000 people attended the various events across the country and more than 200 volunteers lent a much-needed hand.

Animal lovers are invited to check out the RSPCA's interactive map to find out more about what One Fun Day activities will be held near them.

From Bedfordshire to Blackpool to Leeds to London and many places in between the day will be filled with animal-themed fun for all the family!

And with the RSPCA's 200th anniversary now just one year out - this promises to be the start of many events set to celebrate this incredible milestone.

Sarah Millerick, events manager for the RSPCA, said: "The countdown is now on for our annual One Fun Day event and we hope animal lovers up and down the country will come out and support us.

"We want people to get the date in their diary and check out our interactive map to find out where the fun is happening in their area.

"No two One Fun Day events are ever the same,  with everything from charity shop parties to dog shows and family fun days.

"Events like these are vital fundraising events for our branches and animal centres and help to raise money which will be used directly to help animals in your local area.

"We hope that animal lovers will be able to join us on the day and we really look forward to seeing everyone - it promises to be a great day and you will be doing your bit to help animals in need."
