Your Spring Sponsorship Update
Thanks to you, cats like Alison, Cuddy and Greg, and dogs like Nala, get the loving care they need to overcome their fears and find loving homes.

A shy girl learns to trust again
Nala had been overlooked by potential adopters at her previous RSPCA centre in Hampshire. So she travelled nearly 100 miles to RSPCA Newport Animal Centre, hoping a change might help her find a home.
But Nala was struggling. She was shy around new people, and her anxiety around handling made even vet care stressful.
Thanks to you, our team used reward-based training to help her feel safe. As she built bonds with patient staff, her confidence grew. She went from wary to seeking attention, and even started getting excited to see the vet!
Now this clever girl is ready for her perfect match.

- Lila is friendly
- She loves treats and fuss, but likes her space too
- She likes lounging on her shelf in the sun and watching the world go by
Get to know Lila
Nala loves:
Squeaky toys and snuffle mats that keep her mind busy
Learning new tricks – she’s super smart and loves training sessions
Snuggling on laps once she’s comfortable with you

It was magical when Cuddy first purred. She was the most timid, but one day it was like she suddenly knew she could trust me.
Three kittens find their courage
Tabby Alison, black-and-white Cuddy and black kitten Greg were just three months old when they were rescued from a household waste recycling centre. It had been a tough start to life for this trio.
When they arrived at RSPCA Millbrook Animal Centre, they were terrified of people. But with your support, our team could give them the patient care they needed.
Slowly, with gentle handling and time, the kittens started to trust. Greg was the bravest, taking the lead, with his sisters Alison and Cuddy following close behind. Now they’re much more confident and ready for their next chapter, thanks to you.

- Bella’s an incredibly brave pup who’s learning to trust people again
