Payroll giving
The RSPCA is dedicated to preventing cruelty and suffering to animals throughout England and Wales. We rely on the generosity of supporters like you to continue our vital work. Will you be part of the movement to speak up for animals, to protect, rescue and care for them?

How you can get involved
Payroll Giving is a simple way to make regular donations from your salary without having to think about it. The income tax you would have paid on the donation amount is paid to the charity instead of HMRC - so you pay less but give more!
Through Payroll Giving, your donation is taken from your gross salary before tax. This means a £1 donation only costs you 80p (or 60p if you’re a higher-rate taxpayer), while the RSPCA receives the full £1.
You can increase or cancel your donation at any time through your payroll department.
Signing up for Payroll Giving is quick and simple. Our online sign up form takes just 5 minutes to complete.
To sign up you’ll need:
- Your tax band (20%, 40% or 45%)
- Your employer’s name and address
- Your NI number or employee number (this can be found on your payslip)
Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn) is a simple way to make regular donations to us straight from your salary. You can donate as much or as little as you like and you can stop your donation at any time.
Best of all, it's tax-free! For every £1 you give it will only cost you 80p (or if you're a higher-rate tax payer, 60p).

Benefits of payroll giving
Payroll Giving is a simple and convenient way to support the RSPCA. By setting up a regular deduction from your salary, you can:
- Make a consistent and significant impact – even small monthly contributions can add up to a substantial amount over time.
- Benefit from tax relief – donations are made before income tax is deducted from your pay, which means you’ll receive tax relief at your highest rate of tax.
- Support a wide range of vital work – your contributions will help fund animal rescues, rehabilitation centres, cruelty investigations, and vital campaigns for stronger animal welfare laws.
