Diane and her husband wanted a dog for companionship, and preferred one from an animal rescue centre because they wanted to help a dog who needed love and attention.

They met Beau at the RSPCA centre, and took her out into the centre’s paddock where Diane was attracted by her bubbly, friendly – if not initially ‘mad’ - nature. They now love going for long walks together by the river where she loves meeting other dogs, and comes straight back when Diane blows her whistle. After gradual introduction, Beau gets on well with the couple’s other pets: a rabbit and another dog.
