Jo Toscano

Jo has been Head of Media at the RSPCA since 2016, leading the organisation’s press, social media and broadcast teams and specialising in thought leadership. She began her career in journalism, moving from local press to writing for national newspapers and magazines. 

Since 2012, she has worked in public relations in the charity and public sectors, including at animal welfare charity Blue Cross and as Head of Media at Alzheimers Society. She is passionate about using communication to build engagement, raise awareness and inspire action to change animals’ lives.
