Rescued from a recycling centre

It had been a tough start for these tiny kittens. Found at a recycling centre, three-month-old Greg, Alison and Cuddy were in poor shape. They were filthy, skinny, and unwell with cat flu, which can be life-threatening for very young kittens.

Thanks to you, they arrived at RSPCA Millbrook Animal Centre where they could get the care they needed. We gave them antibiotics, nutritious food to help them safely gain weight, and gently bathed their matted fur.

Within weeks, you could see their physical transformation. But helping them learn that people could be safe would take more time and patience.

It was magical when Cuddy first purred. She was the most timid, but one day it was like she suddenly knew she could trust me.

Building trust, step by step

With your support, we had the time and resources to help these kittens overcome their fear. The team spent hours simply being near them, letting the kittens observe from a safe distance. Slowly, they introduced gentle play with feather toys.

Greg’s natural curiosity won first, followed closely by Alison. Cuddy was more cautious but eventually joined in. Through careful handling, they learned that human touch could be safe and comforting.

Now they’re playful, affectionate cats – Greg has grown brave, while Alison and Cuddy have love exploring. Thank you for giving them every kind of care they needed.
