Help Honey the real grumpiest cat in Britain

Stressed rescue cat needs a happy home

04.07.11

Last week the news was awash with pictures of one of Britain’s moodiest moggies – a Persian Burmese by the name of Mr Pip.

Mr Pip's story can be read on the mail online website. However, we believe we may have a contender to his throne, in the shape of rescue cat Honey - who is anything but sweet-natured.

Brought into our Millbrook Animal Centre in Surrey as a stray last year, Honey has yet to find a home.

Honey has every reason to be miserable as she suffers from stress-related hair loss, and potential owners keep overlooking her.

Angelina Lusher, who cares for Honey, said:

She's a lovely cat underneath, but she is really not a morning cat and can be very moody and standoffish.

She also hates other cats, as well as dogs, and is not afraid to let people know when she is unhappy!

Honey will probably sweeten up as soon as she has a home to go to, but at the moment potential owners can’t seem to get past the fact that she is slightly bald, and a bit angry!

Can you help?

We think that there is a loving owner out there who can help lift Honey out of her grump.

Potential owners must have no other pets or young children and be prepared to give Honey the time and attention she deserves.
