The 10 kilometre race (6.2 miles) takes place on Monday, 27 May 2013 and starts and finishes in The Mall.

It follows a clockwise route around London and runners pass many of the city’s famous sights, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, the Bank of England, Millennium Bridge, the London Eye and Big Ben.

Buckingham Palace acts as an impressive backdrop for both the start and finish of the race.

RSPCA events manager Katie Sutcliffe said:

We rely on our supporters to raise the money we need to help animals in need and we are now busier than ever, with more pets, wildlife and farm animals needing our help.
