Your Autumn Sponsorship update

Every kind of care looks different for every animal. Here’s how your Sponsorship has shaped Zira’s and Caesar’s journeys, from hard beginnings to happier days ahead.

How your care changed Zira’s life

When Zira arrived at RSPCA Blackberry Farm Animal Centre, she was pregnant, thin, and in pain from an untreated eye injury. Your Sponsorship made sure she had every kind of care from day one – pain relief for her eye, and extra food to build her strength.

With your support, she went on to welcome four kittens safely, and was a gentle mum from the start. Once they were weaned, vets removed her damaged eye to stop the pain for good, and took out an aching tooth. Zira took it all in her stride.

After nearly five months with us, she found her forever home. With Adoptober around the corner, your Sponsorship is giving more cats like her the same chance. Thank you.

Meet the happy, playful Caesar

Caesar arrived at RSPCA Southridge Animal Centre underweight and nervous. Recovery took time, but with your Sponsorship behind him, he found his feet. Today, his days include walks, off-lead paddock time chasing his favourite football, and puzzle feeders to keep his mind busy.

Reward-based training has helped him grow in confidence too. He gets a treat for good behaviour, and anything else is simply ignored. So to Caesar, it’s just a brilliant game, and he’s good at it!

Dogs like Caesar are often judged before they’re even met. But everything you’ve helped him build – his confidence, trust, and his trademark full-body wag – means he’s more than ready for the right family. And we have you to thank for that.
