Your Summer Sponsorship update
From Ruby’s first tentative steps towards the team, to Jasper’s joyful runs in the exercise areas – every transformation this summer is thanks to you! Read on to meet them both.

How Ruby found her confidence
Ruby arrived at RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre after being abandoned. Unsure of her new surroundings, she spent her days tucked away in her cat pod.
Your Sponsorship meant Ruby had a patient team ready to work at her pace. Staff would sit quietly, reading softly, leaving a trail of her favourite treats nearby. No pressure – just people showing up for her, day after day.
It took around three weeks before Ruby took her first step towards them. But when she did, everything changed. She began head-butting to ask for gentle interaction on her terms, in her own time. And after four months in our care, Ruby found a loving home.

- Lila is friendly
- She loves treats and fuss, but likes her space too
- She likes lounging on her shelf in the sun and watching the world go by
Get to know Lila
Ruby loves:
Puzzle feeders and enrichment games
Company on her own terms
Sunbathing and finding the warmest spot to relax in

Ruby started to show more of her quirky personality, and food was always the love of her life!
Ready for his next adventure
When Jasper arrived at RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre, he was critically underweight and shut down. He was a young dog with so much potential, but barely the strength to show it.
Your support meant he had vets and a dedicated team around him from day one. The weeks that followed weren’t easy, but with the right nutrition and round-the-clock care, Jasper gradually began to find his feet.
As his strength returned, his larger-than-life personality emerged. Off-lead runs, tennis balls, burying his finds for safekeeping – he’s a dog who loves life!
We know that Jasper’s forever home is just around the corner. And it’s all thanks to you.
