Your Summer Sponsorship update - Dog Kennels

Your sponsorship keeps dogs with complex needs, like Bella, in our care. Thanks to you, we’re treating her anxiety and getting her ready for a new life.

Bella’s recovery

When we took two-year-old Bella in, we were really worried about her weight. She clearly hadn’t been eating enough and we suspected that she’d been kept outside with no shelter.

Our vets checked Bella over, and we quickly put her on a feeding plan. But while she gained weight, we began to notice some behavioural issues. Bella was really anxious – she wasn’t sleeping well and didn’t get along with other dogs.

But because of your support, we were able to make a rehabilitation plan for her and stick to it. And thanks to you, Bella’s improved massively in our care.

    Get to know Bella

  • Bella’s an incredibly brave pup who’s learning to trust people again
  • She loves leaning into people and occasionally lying down on them
  • Bella loves playing with soft toys

Animals give us love and understanding; why can’t we do the same?

Bella’s getting better

Bella’s now up to a good weight and is very healthy. She’s still shy and sensitive, but her playful and affectionate side is starting to shine through.

To manage Bella’s stress, we’ve created a routine with lots of play and regular breaks from the kennels. We’ve kept her on medication to help her relax and even started desensitising her to low-volume household noises.

Bella still has a long way to go, but because of your sponsorship, she’s come on leaps and bounds in our care. Remember, it’s your support that made all of this possible. Thank you
