What can I do?

All volunteer roles - even those not directly involving animals have a significant impact on animal welfare - support the vital work we do today! Look at the opportunities below to see how you can help us.

Administrator

Our branches and regional centres often need administrative help.

Animal rescue volunteer

ARVs deliver essential hands-on care, rescue, and transport to ensure vulnerable animals get timely support.

Computer work

Computer-based volunteer work can often be done in the comfort of your own and can be very flexible with regards to time - so even if you've only got an hour to spare each week there will be a role for you!

Photographer

We need volunteers to photograph and video animals in our care so we can advertise them on rehoming pages on our website and on Facebook.

Volunteer drivers

We need volunteer drivers to help by transporting needy animals in our care.

Fostering

The volunteer role of a fosterer is a crucial one and can make a huge difference to the rehabilitation of an animal and their chances of finding a forever home.

Pets at home rehoming coordinator

We need volunteers to support staff in new RSPCA rehoming units in Pets at Home stores.

Charity shop volunteer

There's always plenty to do in our shops with roles to suit everybody, including sorting clothes, helping customers and operating the till.

Branch trustee

Our branches are run by a committee of volunteer trustees who are responsible for managing the affairs of the branch.

Animal care volunteer

From cat cuddling to dog walking or helping out in a hospital or wildlife centre we have lots of hands-on volunteer vacancies that you could get involved with.

Home visitor

The role of the home visitor is to visit the homes of potential animal adopters to ensure their suitability for an animal in our care.

Fundraising

Being a fundraising volunteer is a fantastic way to help support our work and raise essential money for animals in need.
