Animal rescue videos
These videos demonstrate just how well trained and skilled our officers need to be to successfully rescue animals from tricky, and often dangerous, situations.
Although the footage gives a good idea of what we do, it can never fully capture all the planning, time and effort that goes into our animal rescues.
About farm animal cliff rescues
On average, our Wales and West rope rescue team is called out to about 10 to 15 cliff rescues every year.
Farm animals tend to get stranded in the winter months, when they are brought down from the mountains to graze around coastal paths.
They are easily spooked by dogs running off their leads and manage to get down the cliff face, but often can't get back up, so we have to go down to rescue them.
By law, dogs must be kept under close control so that they do not disturb or frighten farm animals or wildlife. Keeping dogs on a lead when near farm animals can really help to prevent incidents like this.

Our rescues are not always easy to capture on film, but when we do, we'll feature them here, so keep checking back for more rescue footage.
In the meantime, why not check out our video library, which covers all aspects of the RSPCA.
