Mallydams Wood is a nationally acclaimed centre of excellence for animal welfare education set in 55 acres of beautiful woodland.

We’ve successfully encouraged thousands of children and adults to develop respect and empathy for animals and their environment through activities and courses based on outdoor exploration, hands-on learning and fun.

The Hastings Wild Things

Hastings Wild Things is a project which aims to encourage young people and children to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer. And best of all, it’s completely free!

Education for schools and groups

Our comfortable education centre is an ideal location for schools and other groups. Take part in curriculum-linked activities which encourage care and respect for animals.

Friendly and experienced staff tailor visits to meet your individual groups needs. The classroom is well-equipped with a television, video/DVD and CD players and books. The inspiring discovery room features colourful and imaginative 3D scenes of a variety of habitats, the animals that live in them and the problems they face.

And, thanks to our well-equipped residential centre, we are able to offer overnight stays for extended courses.
