Jenka

The previous owners of this elderly cairn terrier cross hadn’t taken very good care of their pet. They had let her fur become long and matted and neglected her health.

Jenka was eventually abandoned by her owner. One of our inspectors collected the bewildered dog and took her to the RSPCA Macclesfield, South East and Cheshire and Buxton Branch.

After spending some time in our care, several visits to the vets and a full dental Jenka started to make good progress. As an elderly dog we knew Jenka would always need a little extra care. Her hearing and eye sight are failing, but we knew she would make somebody a wonderful pet.

We are so pleased that we have now found a new home for Jenka. She lives with a lady in her 80s whose bungalow is fitted with ramps, perfect for a partially sighted dog. Jenka can now enjoy her dotage and it's all thanks to supporters like you.

Without your support we would not be able to treat the thousands of animals like Jenka who come into our care. Find out how you can support us.
