Daisy
A very poorly Daisy was rescued by one of our inspectors from the streets of London where she had been living as a stray.
As just a tiny kitten Daisy was taken to our London East Branch where she was found to be suffering from cat flu, an infected eye and a small umbilical hernia.
Foster care gives the best chance of recovery
Daisy needed veterinary treatment and lots of love and care if she was to make a full recovery.
As she was unable to mix with the other cats in the branch’s care Daisy was taken home by Lorna, a member of staff at the branch.
Being fostered meant that poorly Daisy could get all the care and attention she needed. After just two months Daisy’s health had improved and she was ready to be rehomed.
Fostered kitten finds permanent new home
Thankfully a lovely family in Essex offered Daisy a home. Lorna has kept in touch with them through the branch and they have been keeping her up to date on how Daisy is settling in.
In the first weeks with her new family Daisy managed to get stuck up a tree! She also sneaked into a bed that a visitor was sleeping in. The visitor was quite surprised to find this little bundle next to her in the morning.
Daisy has a new pal, the family's other cat Alfie. She loves food and playing and despite getting stuck up a tree and sleeping with visitors she has settled very well with the family.
Daisy is obviously loved very much.
Could you be a fosterer?
Knowing that you’ve helped an animal find a loving permanent home is one of the highlights of fostering an animal. Fosterer Lorna is absolutely delighted that Daisy has settled in so well.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to become a foster carer take a look at our volunteering vacancies or contact your local branch.
