Since 2002, PetRetreat has helped more than 600 families and 850 pets - all victims of domestic abuse.

    Patience came into PetRetreat's care with a painful condition that her owner had been unable to treat.

    Maggie would only leave her violent circumstances and go into refuge on the grounds that she knew her cat Oliver would be safe.

    Flo came into PetRetreat's care when the violence at home escalated and Eliza fled to a woman's refuge with her daughter Daisy.
