End wild animals in circuses
We don't believe any animal should be subjected to the conditions of circus life. These animals often experience:
- Regular transport
- cramped and bare temporary housing
- forced training and performance
- loud noises and crowds
The damage to their welfare is likely to be significant, and scientific research has shown that circus life can have a harmful effect on the welfare of many species.
Final push to get the ban in Wales
Roll up, roll up, the Circus is about to change forever in Wales - but we need your help.
We're pleased that the Bill to end the use of wild animals in circuses in Wales is so close to being a reality, but we're not at the finishing line yet. While the Bill may be one step closer to ending this ancient practice, we need you to show your support in banning wild animals in circuses.
If we make this final push in 2020, we can finally say goodbye to this outdated form of entertainment and welcome a law that prioritises animal welfare above all else.
Make sure the final vote to ban passes
Join us in making sure our Assembly Members support the Bill and vote to end wild animals in circuses. We have before the final vote to show your support and encourage your AM. Act now.
Use of wild animals banned from circuses in England
The Wild Animals in Circuses Act, which bans the use of wild animals in circuses in England, comes into force in January 2020 when current licenses expire. We would like to thank all our supporters who after many years of campaigning, have helped us make this happen.
