We're governed by a board of trustees who are responsible for ensuring the Society is effectively managed and meets its charitable objectives. Day-to-day leadership of the organisation is undertaken by an executive team, led by the Chief Executive.
Nominations for election to our Board of Trustees
We're governed by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for ensuring we're effectively managed and meet our charitable objectives.
The Board comprises of up to 12 trustees, including three co-optees. Each year one-third of the nine trustees elected by our society members retire at the Annual General Meeting. This year Barbara Gardner, Karen Harley and David Thomas will retire from the Board: they may all seek re-election.
Anyone who has an RSPCA membership may stand for election as long as they're suitably qualified in accordance with our rules. In particular they must have been members of the RSPCA for not less than three consecutive years immediately preceding nomination.
How to nominate
Potential candidates are encouraged to contact the Chair of the Board as soon as possible at the address given below for further information of the role of our charity trustees.
Nomination forms will be available from Friday, 7 August 2020:
- email email@example.com
- or write to the Legal Services Department, RSPCA, Wilberforce Way, Southwater, Horsham RH13 9RS.
