RSPCA animal rescuer holding dog

Abandoned animals like Molly need our help now. Join the Christmas Rescue today.

The location where Molly was found has been anonymised. She was found abandoned in the cold.

After what must have been months of neglect, Molly was found, cowering and alone, just inches from speeding cars. "It must have been terrifying for her," said RSPCA Inspector Stephen Lee. Molly's emaciated body was covered in sores from an untreated skin condition.

With care and treatment at an RSPCA centre, Molly was able to recover from her ordeal, and today she is safe in her new forever home. But this Christmas, there are many more animals like her who need our help, right now. With your help we will not fail them.

Please, will you join the Christmas Rescue by sending your urgently-needed gift today?

Molly with her new, loving owner...

Last year we responded to 17,840 incidents in December alone

This year, like every year, many of our animal rescuers will be spending Christmas on the road, responding to every urgent call they can. Everyone at our animal centres will also be working hard to give every rescued animal the emergency treatment and loving care they need. For them, the best Christmas gift is knowing that another abandoned pet will be brought to safety. And other frightened wild animals will be given the urgent help they need. Your support is what keeps them going through the long, cold days.

Please make your donation today and help us bring more animals to safety this year.

More than 80 pence
of every pound we spend goes directly to animals who desperately need help. Select the tabs to read more. (Based on RSPCA 2021 accounts)
is spent on animal welfare
is spent raising the next pound
is spent on governance
More than 80 percent of your donation will go to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming or releasing vulnerable animals. This means abandoned dogs and cats will be cared for, or an injured fox can get a much needed check-up. Most importantly, it ensures that the voice of all animals can be heard.
From bats to badgers and seals to sparrows, we help animals great and small. Each year, we rescue more than 100,000 of them. Without the funds gained through our marketing, we would not be able to finance our crucial work.
Your 1p will support our board members as they create campaigns and push for governance change. At home or abroad, our prevention campaigns are essential for improving the safety and happiness of animals.
