No animal should live in fear

Right now, animal cruelty is at its highest level in five years and we know it peaks in summer*. Thousands of animals spend their days scared and in pain, and they need our help. These life-saving rescues below were made possible by generous donations.

Sweet Chester’s story

Chester was just a kitten but he could barely stand, and had a damaged eye and a swollen face. We took care of him, now he's back to his best and loves to cuddle.

Friendly Fred’s story

Fred loves meeting new people. You’d never know he’d been badly hurt by the people he trusted most. We gave his story a happy ending.

Your gift will save lives

Each year, we receive nearly one million calls to our cruelty and advice line**. We’re working tirelessly to reach animals in time. But life-saving care costs money. Together, we can help more animals like Nelson, Chester and Fred, and give them the lives they deserve. Please make a donation today to help us be there for every kind of animal this summer.

Frequently asked questions

  • We couldn't fund our life-saving work for animals without you.

For every £1 donated, 78p will go directly to rescuing and caring for vulnerable animals, then rehoming or releasing them. This helps abandoned or neglected pets get the treatment and love they deserve. It helps injured or orphaned wildlife in need.

The next 20p from each £1 goes towards fundraising. Last year, we received over 900,000 calls to our help line. Without the funds gained through our marketing, we would not be able to finance our crucial work.

The remaining 2p from each £1 goes towards governance. This will support our board members as they create campaigns and push for governance change. At home or abroad, our prevention campaigns are essential for improving the safety and happiness of animals.
