Every kind of rescue

Oscar

When we rescued Oscar, he was painfully thin. Fearful and reactive, he was classified as a 'red' dog with specialist needs. Months of work with our vet team and animal behaviourists helped this gentle boy learn to be loved. Now Oscar has found his forever home with Paul and Carol. They adore him and Oscar is finally getting the long walks and playtime that he deserves.

Maurice

This cheeky chap was rescued by one of our inspectors. He had a nasty wound and an abscess on his face, so he needed veterinary treatment and a good dose of TLC. Thankfully, our animal care staff are great matchmakers and soon found Maurice a calm home with owners willing to earn his trust. Maurice no longer bites the hand that feeds (and strokes) him.

Dolly

Dolly came to our wildlife centre in East Sussex. A marine rescue team found the young seal stranded on a beach and weighing just 12kg. Unable to survive by herself in the wild, she came to us for care where we discovered a serious injury to her right eye. Dolly was treated and monitored closely. After a few more weeks she is being released back to the sea in January, weighing a healthy 38.6kg.

Your gift will save lives

Each year, we receive nearly one million calls to our cruelty and advice line*. We’re working tirelessly to reach animals in time. But keeping our rescuers on the road and providing life-saving care costs money. We rely on your generosity to make this possible.

Together, we can give back to more animals like Oscar, Maurice and Dolly, so we can give them the lives they deserve. Please make a donation today to help us be there for every kind of animal.

Frequently asked questions

  • We couldn't fund our life-saving work for animals without you.

For every £1 donated, 78p will go directly to rescuing and caring for vulnerable animals, then rehoming or releasing them. This helps abandoned or neglected pets get the treatment and love they deserve. It helps injured or orphaned wildlife in need.

The next 20p from each £1 goes towards fundraising. Last year, we received over 900,000 calls to our help line. Without the funds gained through our marketing, we would not be able to finance our crucial work.

The remaining 2p from each £1 goes towards governance. This will support our board members as they create campaigns and push for governance change. At home or abroad, our prevention campaigns are essential for improving the safety and happiness of animals.
