This June, we are asking runners to take on the Cheddar Gorge Challenge to raise vital funds for Brent Knoll Animal Centre, which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes animals across North Somerset.
From abandoned pets to animals who simply need care and time before finding their forever homes, the centre provides a safe place for animals who need it most.
Whichever distance you are taking part in, you will see some of the most beautiful and remarkable landscapes of any run in the country. The 10km, Half Marathon and Marathon all include breath taking running along the gorge cliff top path looking down the gorge and across the with open Somerset Meadows. The routes work there way along the historic Mendip Hills which include signs of Roman mining and World War II bunkers.
