Adopt an RSPCA animal
***CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 3.5.20***
We are pleased to update that DEFRA have agreed for the RSPCA to begin to rehome animals again. Please click on the link and carefully read the current adoption process. The animals featured on our website are the only ones we are currently looking to find homes for. We are working to a reduced team of staff so please do bare with us. This is a very different system and will need a careful and detailed approach. https://www.rspca.org.uk/findapet/rehomeapet/process
Please note you MUST live within a 1 hour drive of us (our postcode is TA9 4BL so please do check this before enquiring). This is a requiremnet by DEFRA, we are not able to make any exceptions.
We are still CLOSED to visiting public. This means that we cannot accept animals from the public, and are looking after existing animals in our care, and new animals brought in via our animal rescue teams.
If you have animal welfare concerns, please call our national cruelty line for advice: 0300 1234 999.
If you have a badly injured stray or wild animal please call your local vet for advice. Please do not attend a vet practice without calling first.
We can be contacted by emailing us at email@example.com. Please DO NOT visit unless you have a specific appointment buy food & cat litter.
We will also not be able to receive any donations of bedding, towels, toys & food until further notice, however you will be pleased to know that we have had so many wonderful donations so far this year that we are very well stocked up.
Our staff will be strictly following guidelines and self isolating if showing any symptoms or vulnerable in age or health. Currently there is no evidence that animals are affected by Covid-19.
All our resident animals will of course continue to receive the highest care and welfare during this difficult time.
This is an incredibly difficult time for us across the RSPCA and we appreciate your ongoing support. We thank you for your co-operation and hope that you all remain safe and well.

Before they are re-homed, all of our animals are health checked, neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated (where appropriate).
Our cats, dogs & ferrets are cared for and can be viewed during the opening hours at the Brent Knoll Animal Centre. If you are coming in to see a particular animal please call before travelling to us on 01278 782671 to check they are still available for adoption to avoid disappointement.
Our rabbits, guinea pigs and small animals are cared for in foster homes. Please call the Brent Knoll Animal Centre to register your interest in a fostered animal and we can make arrangements for you to meet at a convenient time for yourself and the fosterer, thank you. For the comfort and welfare of our small animals that are generally prone to experiencing stress during travel we look to home them fairly locally to our Centre.
