How you can help animals in our care

There are lots of ways that you can help your local RSPCA

To Report Animal Cruelty and Neglect:

Every year thousands of animals suffer from neglect, cruelty and abuse. Together we can help end their misery. Animals don’t have a voice; it’s up to us to provide one for them. To report cases of cruelty and neglect, please contact our  24 hr cruelty line on 0300 1234 999 for help.

Read our reporting cruelty checklist.

Whether you want to give a simple donation or be a bit more hands on we're truly grateful. Take a look around to see how you can help us make a difference to animals lives.

Adding your voice to RSPCA campaigns will help us to achieve better animal welfare in the future. Our campaigns aim to prompt political and behavioural change on a range of animal welfare-related issues. But, we can¿t do it alone. Campaign for animal welfare.

Fundraising fun

Last May We had an RSPCA stall at ASDA in Darlington to promote The RSPCA Darlington and District Branch. We spoke to shoppers and sold RSPCA branded items.  We raised animal welfare awareness and  £128.70p in the collection boxes with customers kindly donating £58.35 worth of Dog and Cat Food.

And we WON the ASDA Green Token Scheme and received a cheque for £500. A HUGE win for our area animals. Thank you ASDA!

We also have had fun fundraising at the following locations:

Tesco in Catterick last March raising £180.75 in cash and £61.60 in food for cats and dogs.

Tesco in Newton Aycliffe last August raising £250.94 cash and £92.15 in food for cats and dogs.

Pets at Home Bishop Auckland, Darlington and Catterick last September raising £275.43.

All the events and fundraising are done by RSPCA Branch volunteers so a big thank you to them and a big thank you to all the Businesses and the public who supported us in 2018.

There are loads of ways to raise money for the RSPCA! If you're a daredevil you could do a skydive or if you prefer to keep your feet on the ground you could take part in a run. Take a look at our fundraising ideas to get you started.

You can now donate all your broken and unwanted jewellery, stamps and gadgets to raise money for RSPCA Darlington and District Branch.
