We are a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA, and are responsible for raising funds locally to help animals in the Shropshire area, and animals who come in through the national RSPCA’s Inspectors. We raise money through fundraising events, donations and legacies, with the support of volunteers across the Branch area.

We support the work of the RSPCA Inspectors, and offer the following services:
- Adopt an animal (cats) - The cats and kittens we have available for rehoming can be viewed at https://www.rspca.org.uk/local/shropshire-branch/findapet
- £5 West Midlands cat neutering & microchipping scheme - visit https://www.rspca.org.uk/-/west-midlands to find out which vets in your area are enrolled in this scheme (in partnership with Cats Protection) and the eligibility criteria.
You will need to contact your chosen vets directly to use this scheme.
If you are having difficulties using the map to find your nearest vet, or wish to discuss the criteria for eligibility, please contact the Cats Protection Helpline directly on 03000 12 12 12 and select option 2 for neutering
- Financial assistance towards neutering other animals (for cats see above) - a voucher for 50% of the cost (capped at £200) - for people on means-tested benefits living in the Shropshire Branch area (max 2 vouchers per household in any 12 month period - including emergency veterinary financial assistance vouchers)
- Emergency veterinary financial assistance - a voucher for 75% of the cost (capped at £200) - for people on means-tested benefits living in the Shropshire Branch area (max 2 vouchers per household in any 12 month period - including neutering vouchers for other animals)
