If you suspect cruelty or neglect, or to report a sick, injured or trapped animal, please gather all the information you can about the situation , and report this to the national RSPCA’s cruelty line:

We are a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA, and are responsible for raising funds locally to help animals in the Shropshire area, and animals who come in through the national RSPCA’s Inspectors. We raise money through fundraising events, donations and legacies, with the support of volunteers across the Branch area.

If you are having difficulties using the map to find your nearest vet, or wish to discuss the criteria for eligibility, please contact the Cats Protection Helpline directly on 03000 12 12 12 and select option 2 for neutering 

  • Financial assistance towards neutering other animals (for cats see above) - a voucher for 50% of the cost (capped at £200) - for people on means-tested benefits living in the Shropshire Branch area (max 2 vouchers per household in any 12 month period - including emergency veterinary financial assistance vouchers)
  • Emergency veterinary financial assistance -  a voucher for 75% of the cost (capped at £200) - for people on means-tested benefits living in the Shropshire Branch area (max 2 vouchers per household in any 12 month period - including neutering vouchers for other animals)
