About Us

The Nottinghamshire East Branch of the RSPCA covers the eastern part of the county of Nottinghamshire.

This covers an area from north of Retford to south of Newark. Ollerton and Southwell are also within the Branch area.

To be considered for financial assistance you must live within the boundaries of the Branch and be in receipt of some form of income support.

Animals rescued in our Branch area are rehomed through the Radcliffe Animal Shelter.

If you live in the north of our area, it may be more convenient for you to visit the Bawtry or Chesterfield animal shelters.

Please go to the web site of the animal shelters above to view pets available for re-homing.

If you can't find the pet you're looking for now, check back regularly to see if your perfect match has become available.

Or visit Find a pet to view other animals in the RSPCA's care across England and Wales who are looking for a new home.

Our main source of funds is our charity shop at Albert Street in Newark, which is run by our dedicated band of volunteers.

Opening hours are:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 09.30-16.00

Thursday 09.30-13.00

We accept all quality items for resale, but owing to a lack of space we are unable to take furniture. Electrical items can also not be accepted.

Donations for the Radcliffe Shelter such as food, old duvets and towels can also be delivered to the shop where they will then be taken to the Shelter.

As the majority of our funding derives from donated items sold through our shop, we would sincerely like to thank all our donors and of course the customers who purchase them.
