Welcome to Doncaster and Rotherham RSPCA
We have been operational within the region since 1965, refurbishment in 1998 on our current 6 acre site has meant that the branch has been able to provide accommodation and veterinary care for thousands of animals to date.
During 2016 the centre received 1126 animals into our care and rehomed 1105; the footfall to the centre exceeded 12,000 visitors.
Our priority is to take in animals that have suffered cruelty or neglect and have been rescued by RSPCA Inspectors. Our expert team work alongside vets to ensure that these animals fully recover both mentally and physically. They are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed ready for rehoming.
To carry out our work it costs approx. £1500 per day to operate, we receive no funding from government or from any Lottery funds. Therefore to continue to operate we are dependent upon a mixed economy of funding which is raised through; legacies, donations, an annual calendar of fundraising activities, grants and corporate sponsorship.
Please contact our income generation or customer care staff to find out how you can help us.
