How You can help us
December 1st 2020 - do you have goods to donate. We are seeking small electrical houshold items in good working order, winter clothing for adults and children and childrens indoor games and toys. Please note that we are no longer able to take duvets, pillows or houshold cusions. We respectfully ask that you do not leave these items at our animal centre as we will have to deposit these into our waste bins and we will be charged for their removal.
If you are able to donate to our charity shops, not only do you help the planet through out recycling and upcycling scheme but you also help people when they wish to buy something new to buy something old. Thank you.
Adopt an Animal - check out our 'Find a Pet' page for more information, to search for available companion animals and to find out more about temporary rehoming measures.
Donate Money - with your donation we are able to direct your gift to the most critical animal need on any given day, be it veterinary care, medical treatment, enrichment programs for an animal that requires rehabilitation. Please do not underestimate the power of your financial gift however small or large.
It costs over £1700 per day to run our animal centre which can care for over 250 animals at any one time. As well as the income generated from our shops, we rely entirely on donations from the public to enable us to provide the care that the animals need.
You can make a one off donation by using the big red "Donate Now" button on the right of this screen, send a donation direct to our animal centre or set up a regular donation through your bank.
You can give by texting RSPCAIOW to 70470 with any amount of your choice and to learn more about the work we do. If you wish to opt out of learning more about us in the future text RSPCAIOWNOINFO to 70470 with any amount of your choice.
Can you spare your change, please consider a text to our donation bucket campaign, more details on our 'How you can Help' page.
Leaving a Gift in Your Will
If, like us, you believe that cruelty to animals should never be tolerated, then a gift in your Will means you can always be there, for animals that are lost, stranded and scared.
Please visit this page for more information
A legacy or bequest will provide crucial funds and we could not continue our critical work without this generous support. If you wish to make a bequest to support animals in need then you can do this by making a specific codicil in your will. Please note that we would respectfully suggest that the following form of words should be used to ensure that your generous gift is directed as you intented.
I give the sum of £...... (or specify a share or residue) to the RSPCA Isle of Wight Branch registered charity number 205311, Bohemia Corner, Godshill, Isle of Wight, PO38 3NA, for it's general purposes and I declare that the receipt of a proper officer of the said RSPCA branch shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.
Telling us about your plans can help us be there for animals that need us.
Whether we're laying the groundwork for a new animal hospital or rescuing a kitten that's suffering neglect, it's vital that we're able to plan ahead effectively.
So its incredibly valuable to us to know your intentions when it comes to leaving a gift in your Will. It also means we'll be able to keep you up to date with the work we are doing to help save animals from cruelty and neglect, and to thank you properly for your generosity.
Of course, you may wish to keep your decision private. But if you would like to share it with us, just fill out this simple form to let us know that you plan to support us in this wonderful way. You can also contact us on 0300 123 0239
Animal Food Donations
We are always in need of donations in our animal centre.
We generously receive animal food and you can help us when you shop at a number of food drop off locations around the island. Currently Asda Newport, Jolley's Newport and Morrison's Lake have a food donation bin in store. We can only take sealed bags and cans/pooches of unopened food donations at this time. We have a year round need of cat food both wet and dry and small animal food for rabbits and guinea pigs is always needed.
Do you shop online?
