Homing Success Stories

We always love to hear how the animals adopted from our Branch are getting on in their new homes and wanted to share just a few of the recent updates we've received.

September 2018

Stanley (was John)

Stanley the Basset puppy had such a poor start in life before being rescued from a puppy farm. We're delighted to hear he's coming on in leaps and bounds in his wonderful new home.

"Stanley is doing really well. Last week he was weighing in at 4:5kg so the weight is gradually going on & he has grown 3/4 of an inch! He is getting on really well with his big brother (I suspect Marley will be his big little brother before long!) Stanley has found his voice & loves using it especially when he knows it’s time for his food! He is picking up toilet training really well so hopefully we will crack that soon. He isn’t keen on walking (typical basset!) but will suddenly trot if treats are involved!

Thank you so much for letting us bring such a fantastic boy into our lives."

Bracken (was Chris)

Handsome Bracken found his forever home this month and we're delighted to hear he's settling in well.

"A busy week... lots of exploring, and sleeping, and a whole washing up bowl of spare fur! He really likes being brushed. He's very happy all round the house now... but 'outside' is BIG! ...and windy! ...and everything needs sniffing first! ...so that will probably take a few more weeks.

 He's quite a character!"

Nala

Nala came into our care as a stray with 3 kittens. After raising her babies, we were so happy to eventually see her find her very own furever home. Thank you to her new family for sending in the pictures and update.

"Nala has settled in really well and we are all delighted to have her as part of the family!"

Oberon & Titania (was Misha & Wizz)

These gorgeous kittens happily found  a pawsome home together and  are loving their new life.

"I thought you would like to see the kittens half way to being grown ups. Since we collected them from you April they have thrived and are loving the garden and exploring. When not in busy mode they snuggle up and want lots of cuddles and reward you with big purrs.

You are doing marvellous work and Oberon and Titania certainly were given an excellent start."

Ozzie (was Coal)

What a handsome young man puppy Ozzie is growing into. Thank you to his family for this heartwarming update.

"Hi there see pictures attached of little pup Ozzie (who is not so little now!!)

He settled in from day one, didn’t cry at all on the three hour journey home and never looked back. He’s a real character and was definitely meant to be part of our family as he has embraced his new life with a huge amount of enthusiasm & fun! Ozzie spends 3 days a week in the office at work with me and has met lots of new doggie friends in the village. He’s just perfect thanks so much xx"

Indiana Bones (was Polo)

Lovely Pug Indiana was adopted from us in 2017, after suffering a very sad start in life. We're so happy that he's put all that behind him now and couldn't be happier in his wonderful new home.

"We have now had Indiana for 1 year now and I just wanted to let you know that he is doing really well.

We can never thank you enough for choosing us to be his family. We were heartbroken after losing our pug Jagger and Indiana really has bought joy to our family. He is a cheeky one but he never fails to make us laugh and we could not love him more."
