HOW TO ADOPT FROM BATH CATS & DOGS HOME

We’re an independent branch of the RSPCA, so please head to our website to find out more about our adoption process, and to use our application form.

Meet Max, a cheeky and characterful Pug on the lookout for his perfect adult-only home! This little guy may be wary of strangers at first, but in his foster home, he settles beautifully! Max can be a bit reactive to household noises, so he’d love a calm environment with patient owners who understand his quirks. He enjoys a fuss but prefers handling on his own terms. Max is a big fan of tug games and squeaky or rubber toys, though he isn’t always keen on sharing them. When it comes to other dogs, he’s confident but can be a bit too enthusiastic in his greetings—he’ll do best walking alongside a calm, well-mannered dog. With a secure garden for his off-lead zoomies and a loving home that respects his boundaries, Max will make a fun and loyal companion!

A word from Max's fosterer:

Max is amazing to live with. His favorite things are laying in the sun and playing with his soft toys. When out and about he loves sniffing and watching the world go by. He has no issues being left, and will be curled up on the sofa asleep when I come back. He's a very sweet boy and would make a loving companion in his forever home

My personality

  • I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
  • I'd prefer an adult only household
  • I can be left alone for short periods
  • I may be able to live with another dog
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm small but full of fun
  • I love toys and games
