Stockport, East Cheshire & West Derbyshire Branch

How we help local animals

RSPCA Stockport, East Cheshire & West Derbyshire Branch (Charity No. 226284)

RSPCA Stockport, East Cheshire & West Derbyshire is an independently registered branch of the National RSPCA. Like all local branches, we receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of the public and the success of our fundraising events to continue our vital animal welfare work in the community. While we work closely in tandemwith the National Society, all funds raised locally stay within our area to directly support animals in need.

Our branch is run entirely by dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to protect, care for, and rehome animals. Although we do not have our own animal centre, we use private boarding facilities in Marple.  We would also like to set-up a network of foster carers to provide temporary homes for the cats that come into our care. We’re incredibly proud of the many successful rehoming stories over the years and remain committed to changing the lives of countless animals for the better.

We are currently looking for volunteer cat foster coordinator and cat foster carers in the Stockport area. Fostering provides a temporary, loving home for a cat until their forever home is found and it makes an enormous difference to their rehabilitation and future happiness.

If you’re interested in learning more about fostering and whether it might be right for you, please get in touch with Kath on 07432 709198.

Together, we can give animals the second chance they deserve. 🐾
