Shropshire Branch

Hello again from RSPCA Shropshire Branch ...

An update from the Branch...

Really sad news  our Branch cat,16 year old Misty, has recently passed away .Tigger has stepped up and is now RSPCA Shropshire Branch’s resident cat .
Tigger is a sweet  tabby cat with the most beautiful green eyes.. She came into long term care after her elderly owner passed away.
She sits and watches the ins and outs of all the cats which are in the care of RSPCA Shropshire Branch. Tigger’s favourite food is Gourmet pouches, especially fishy ones her favourite past time is lazing on her scratching post.
Last week Tigger was amazed to see a little tortoiseshell cat come in who was so round she looked like a football with four legs. It was of no surprise to everyone at the cattery when 24 hours later she safely gave birth to kittens .Both mom and babies are doing well. Watch this space for photos and updates.
Tigger was also pleased to see Dave the ginger and white cat go to his new home. Dave was such a friendly chap...he greeted everyone with a meow and a friendly headbutt , unsurprisingly he was only in care for 2 weeks before he was offered a home.
5 kittens came in from a Vet in Wellington, they had been born there. They are all lively and great fun to watch, their football skills are amazing. Four of them are dark tortoiseshell girls the fifth is a black male. One of the girls loves to drape herself over the top of the large scratching post. 3 have found their new’ furever’ homes, the other two are waiting patiently for someone to choose them. Hopefully someone will come along soon.
Tigger has also been amazed by the amount of things people have donated for the latest fundraiser A Silent Auction .Football match , museum and race tickets, Special brewery ales, jewellery, meals for two, bird boxes  and much much more have been donated so far.
People come to view the items leave their name, telephone number and their bid on the items they like, then the highest bidder at the end of the auction gets the item.
See our poster for further details.
Tigger is hoping she will be able to have a new large scratching post from the funds raised.
Love from Tigger’s carer xx
