Gina has been with us for over a year now. She has had a very difficult time in her early life. We understand she was kept locked in a crate for most of the time together with another dog. Despite this experience she is extremely friendly and excited to meet people. Although she grew up with another dog, she has not experienced interaction with strange dogs and this has resulted in her not been sure of them. She can be a little reactive to some but we have found can be distracted with treats to avoid them.She originally arrived more than a year ago and during this time has been adopted twice. Her main issue is separation anxiety and she was returned because of this.From her experiences we have discovered she enjoys playing with toys and is quite obedient around the home. She enjoys exercising and chasing a ball in the garden. She was also quite easily house trained.Gina is looking for a single person or couple who are able to spend a lot of time with her. This could be by working from home or being retired. Ideally this should be within a 40 mile radius of Hexham where she is in kennels as a few visits are going to be required. It needs to be an adult only home with no children or other animals. A home in the countryside and not a built up area is preferred in order to avoid meeting too many other dogs. If you are patient and understanding of her needs she will make a lovely companion.
