How you can help animals in our care
There are lots of ways that you can help your local RSPCA
Every year thousands of animals suffer from neglect, cruelty and abuse. Together we can help end their misery.
Whether you want to give a simple donation or be a bit more hands on we're truly grateful. Take a look around to see how you can help us make a difference to animals lives.
Have you ever thought about giving up some of your time to be a Trustee of a Charity?
Do you have business skills that could add value to a charity?
As a Trustee of a Branch, you will have the chance to influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals as well as using your life and business skills to support the running and development of a charity Branch.
It’s a great way to meet like-minded people who share your enthusiasm for animal welfare. You will have the opportunity to gain new skills and develop existing ones, whilst making a real difference to the lives of animals.
Most people aged 18+ are eligible to become a trustee and you will need to be/become a member of the RSPCA. This is a voluntary position.
In common with all RSPCA Branches, the North Essex Branch is committed to preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals. The Branch is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees who through a Branch Manager are responsible for retail units in Colchester, Frinton and Braintree and a busy Animal Clinic in Colchester which provides veterinary services to low income pet owners.
The Branch has recently gone through many positive changes and we are now looking for more Trustees to join us and continue the development of the Branch. In particular we would love to hear from you if you have interests in Retail, Animal Welfare, Treasury, Marketing, PR, Fundraising or Company Secretary.
Send your CV to email@example.com or email for more information.
We are looking for a Branch Manager to lead on all aspects of animal welfare and veterinary clinic as well as to work closely with the Trustees to bring together all aspects of the running of the branch.
This is a full time paid role. If you are interested and have demonstrable experience of veterinary clinic management contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We are currently looking for a volunteer driver to collect and move around stock from our shops and partner branches, Colchester, Braintree, Frinton & Bury St Edmunds.
This would possibly be a day Monday- Friday every 2 weeks. If you have a current driving license and are happy to drive a van. Please contact our Frinton shop for a volunteer form on 01255 674926.
Shop for a better life for animals
