Newport Animal Centre

Could you foster a cat or kitten?

The role of fosterer is a crucial one and can make a huge difference in rehabilitating our animals and increasing their chances of finding a forever home.

Although we try to rehome animals as quickly as possible, we may have them in our care for long periods if they are involved in a prosecution case.

Sometimes animals don't cope well in animal centre environments or need one-to-one care, so this is where our fantastic team of fosterers come in.

We provide our fosterers with a cat/kitten’s food, bedding and free veterinary care if it's needed.

Fosterers need to be located in Newport or just on the outskirts and have access to a car so they can take the foster animal to the vet or Newport Animal Centre if necessary. A fairly quiet lifestyle is needed for our animals and they need someone to be at home most of the day.
