What we do to help
We offer operational support to the local Inspectors by providing accommodation for animals that are sick, injured, abandoned, abused or neglected.
We provide the necessary accommodation, care & rehabilitation for the most vulnerable animals in today's society until we can find them loving new owners.
The branch's animal welfare work is carried out in Hull and much of the East Riding of Yorkshire, benefitting the public at large and, when possible helping those on low incomes to neuter and microchip their animals to promote responsible pet ownership.
Our goal is to educate our local community about the work we do and what all animals need to lead a comfortable and fulfilled life in order to reduce cruelty and promote kindness.
In order to provide a safe haven for the animals that are in greatest need we require sustainable sources of income to supplement our dwindling funds. Did you know we sell competitively priced new and second hand pet products at our centre on Clough Road and donated goods at our 3 Charity shops located in Hull, Beverley and Cottingham. All profits are used towards our animal welfare activities.
During 2016 we accommodated over 400 animals and rehomed 300 animals into loving new homes.
