Do you love animals, have time to spare and would like to make a difference in your community?

The RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital is looking for dedicated and animal loving volunteers to help to communicate with clients both on the telephone and face to face, to assist with the daily care of our inpatients and to liaise with owners to keep them up to date.

This is a great opportunity for people who are unable to have animals themselves due to other commitments or people looking to gain experience in the animal care industry. You will need to be aged 16 years or above and have a real love of animals. You will need to be motivated and reasonably physically fit as the work is strenuous.

Kennel/Cattery Work

Many volunteers enjoy working alongside the staff completing the day to day tasks such as cleaning, feeding, grooming and exercising of the animals.

Telephonist

As a hospital, we deal with many clients that contact us daily, the job of a volunteer telephonist is to deal with these calls in a polite, quick and effective manner whilst following the telephone log.

Maintenance

With a large animal hospital to maintain we have a small voluntary maintenance team who would welcome new members to help with miscellaneous jobs.

Driver

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about animals and would love to help support the hospital and its network of branches to transport animals to and from the hospital and the rehoming centre. You must be able to drive and have a full UK licence.

Our volunteers are a huge help in the work we do to prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals and we thank all our current and past volunteers for all their help and dedication.
