How we help local animals
Our Branch
Based in Barrow-in-Furness, our Branch area covers the whole of the Furness Peninsula.
Our main focus is the care and rehoming of animals coming to us via the RSPCA inspectorate.
We provide welfare assistance through a voucher system for members of the public on certain specified benefits and/or low incomes.
We offer veterinary/financial assistance to help animals most in need in our branch area. Please contact us to find out more.
We also promote responsible pet ownership through neutering and microchipping campaigns.
The Branch is run by a committee of trustees who are all volunteers.
We have an Advice Centre which is open three days a week to provide advice and assistance to the general public.
In addition, we welcome volunteers to assist with;
- animal care
- transport
- fundraising
- pre-adoption and post-adoption home visiting
- fostering
- microchipping
- administration
- many other small but important job
If you are interested in volunteering please contact us.
