Paws Together Appeal

We are launching our Paws Together Appeal to help ensure that we can always be here for animals in need, whatever their story - and for whatever reason they need our help.

At our RSPCA Bristol Clinic we always aim to welcome any pet, injured wildlife, and RSPCA Inspectorate cruelty or neglect case animal, who needs us. We also tend to, and cover the costs of, all non-routine veterinary treatments required by the animals next door at the Dogs and Cats Home. Our promise to each animal patient is that they will receive the love and veterinary care they need.

Our services are always in demand, and we are asking you for your support to ensure that we will always be here for animals when they most need us, animals like the gorgeous Max, whose life was saved thanks to the fantastic work carried out by RSPCA Inspectors, our dedicated veterinary team and our wonderful Dogs and Cats Home staff.

MAX

Max was brought to the safety of our Bristol Clinic by an RSPCA Inspector, after he was found cowering in the corner of a room, dirty and emaciated, with a large ulcerated and bleeding tumour on his head. His owner had failed to get him the medical care he urgently needed. The Inspector who brought him in said it was a 'heart-breaking and inexcusable case of neglect. I have rarely seen a more depressed dog in all of my time at the RSPCA. I dread to think of how much Max must have suffered.' Max received immediate care from our wonderful Clinic staff, and it soon became apparent that the tumour could be removed. Fortunately, the operation was successful – and after many weeks of recovery in the safe hands of our expert veterinary team, Max was transferred to our Dogs and Cats Home for re-homing.

Max was the sweetest and gentlest little dog you could ever meet, and he was quickly reserved and adopted by a wonderful lady. This was a very happy ending for a dog that had suffered terribly – because we were here to save him.

Everyone who met Max fell in love with him, and after all he had been through, we were delighted that he landed on his paws and was adopted by Mrs Bubb! Mrs Bubb said, “Max settled in really well, we've had no problems with him at all! My daughter has dogs, and they are all now the best of friends! Everyone falls in love with Max – he is such an affectionate little dog”.

We want you to Put Your Paws Together for Animals in Need, now and in the future. Can you help us ensure that our clinic can continue to run its vital services, and help more animals like Max?

Calling all pet owners! We want all you pet owners out there to get involved and get your pets raising money for animals in need at our RSPCA Bristol Clinic! Whether wild, domestic, owned or stray – they all deserve the help and care of our dedicated veterinary team.

As loving and responsible pet owners, we all understand just how crucial veterinary care is to the well-being of our beloved pets, whether it is for routine checks or serious operations, we are all relieved to have expert help available. So why not get your pet in on the fundraising action, putting Paws Together for animals in need! We can't think of anything cuter.

Instead of sending in a donation you could set up a fundraising page on behalf of your pet (or pets!). Set them a fundraising target, and ask your friends and family to help your pet reach their goal! Perhaps you could have a sponsored paw walk – or a purr-off! You know your pet best – play to their strengths! Contact our team today to find out more!

Don't have a pet in your life right now? Worry not as you can fundraise on behalf of one of the pets in our care! Just contact our team and we will send you all the information you need - email fundraising@rspca-bristol.org.uk
