Storm came in on the 18th of December after being dumped at the vets in an appalling condition. She had been severely neglected and was very emaciated and malnourished. Over several months she gained weight and strength and is now a big, healthy girl.

Storm is a fun loving, cheeky girl who is a real character. She loves her toys and will zoom around playing. Storm is also very affectionate and can be over enthusiastic with her love and kisses.

Sadly it appears storm had a very sheltered previous life and was exposed to very little of the outside world. This has led her to be very worried and fearful of strangers. She has bonded well with the staff at the centre but needs to slowly get to know people to build trust.

As Storm was so isolated in her previous life she arrived to us very unsocialised with other animals. Storm can be highly reactive towards other dogs especially if they suddenly approach her. She is currently undergoing training to manage this and is progressing very well. Storm has learnt to settle and disengage when she sees other dogs at a distance but can still struggle in very close proximity.

Storm also had a very strong prey drive and would strongly react when she spotted wildlife out on her walks. Storm has really improved with her reactions and has learnt to ignore and move on when she sees wildlife.

Storm has undergone extensive training and behaviour modification during her time with us and has been a star pupil! She is highly intelligent and has taken very quickly to the training, it also helps she’s such a foodie and will do anything for a treat!

Storm requires an adult only home with no other animals in a quiet suburban or rural location with access to quiet walking areas. She must have her own private, very secure garden. Storm is muzzle trained and walks very happily with it on.

She really is a wonderful Girl who will make you laugh and keep her new family thoroughly entertained! She will be a great addition to the right home.
