Bridlington, Driffield & District Branch

Interested in volunteering for the RSPCA?

Volunteering for us is one enjoyable way of helping animal welfare and can be very rewarding. Our volunteers make a huge contribution to the work we do to prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals.

We can't do it without you
As a separately registered charity RSPCA Bridlington, Driffield & District branch is totally independent, self-funding and responsible for all our own business decisions, whilst following national policies and guidelines. Our Committee members meet monthly and are responsible for the decision making. We always welcome new volunteers and you can help out in one or more of the following ways.

Become a Home Visitor: When someone contacts the Branch with a view to adopting an animal the home visitor goes into the home of a potential adopter, by appointment, to assess the home environment and family to ensure that we find the right homes for our animals. They always have the full backup of their coordinator and training for this role will be given.

Become a Shop Volunteer: Our charity shop is located in Bridlington and is a busy outlet. There are a variety of roles available to offer your help at the shop, not just front of house serving customers so something to suit everyone.

Help at Events: Every year we hold events throughout our area such as our Dog Show, Seasonal Fairs and Flag days. We need help from volunteers at these events to run stalls, collect money, help set up and clear away. It is always good fun at our events and a great way to get out and about and meet new people, and you get to help raise money for the animals in our care.

Fostering: We are always looking for people who would like a bit of “hands on” with the animals in our care. If you are interested in fostering a pregnant cat, kittens, rabbits or other small animals please contact us. We provide all necessary equipment, food & litter.
