About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Black
Age: 2 Years (approx)
Ref: ANI00257

This playful and affectionate lady is Ashley. She has bravely travelled over 80 miles across the country in search of finding her forever home! Could it be you?

She was originally handed into RSPCA Newport in July 2024 because her owner had too many animals and was unable to care for her. Sadly, Ashley was suffering with chronic stomach issues when she arrived. However, these have now been resolved thanks to our wonderful hospital staff and a new hypoallergenic diet.
All our staff think Ashley is a real sweetheart who settles in well to her environment. She rolls over, gives head bumps, plays with her toys, and purrs like a trooper. We think any human would be lucky to have a cat as lovely as Ashley in their life.

Her foster carer has said:
“She has a vibrant personality, very inquisitive & resourceful, she will explore anything she can gain access to sometimes retrieving items you may not have realised you had lost… Ashley is a very loving cat & will spend a couple of hours a time asleep on your lap. Ashley sleeps in her safe room at night (my front room) and when let out in the morning she immediately starts purring, rolling over, and demanding a fuss”
Ashely will be a wonderful companion and addition to any home. Once she is settled and has worked you out, she will be a loving friend who will bring a lot of personality to brighten up your day!
