Neutering scheme for dogs, cats, rabbits or ferrets
The neutering scheme we offer will cover 2/3rds of the cost of the neutering, meaning owners will only pay 1/3rd. This offer is available for dogs, cats, rabbits or ferrets whose owners receive any of the following means tested benefits *:
- Pension credit (not the standard state retirement pension)
- Housing benefit
- Income support
- Working tax credit
- Council tax benefit (not 25% single person discount)
- Income based jobseeker’s allowance
- Income based employment support
- Universal credit
* No other benefits will be accepted (e.g. PIP - Personal Independence Payment)
Due to Covid 19 we are asking owners who wish to apply for this offer to email us. Owners will be asked to provide their proof of benefits securely and, if successful, to pay their part of the cost directly into an RSPCA bank account. Once this has been received we will provide them with a voucher which they can take to their vet to cover the full cost of neutering. Any complications or aftercare will not be covered by the voucher and will be at the owners expense.
