Lost Dogs

The call will be answered during daytime hours and transferred to the dog warden.

Out of hours, the call will be put through to the Dog Warden. If your call is not answered, please leave a message, giving the callers name and telephone number so the Dog Warden can get back in touch with you.

Call between 9am - 5pm Mon - Thur, 9am - 4pm on Fri and your call will be answered.

The member of the public calling must stay on the line until the call is transferred through to a member of staff who will than take the details.

During daytime hours the call will be answered. During out of hours, the caller should stay on the line and the give their name and telephone number so the dog warden can return their call.

Microchip your  Dog. The best way to find a missing pet. Pet owners are legally required to chip their dog. All dogs from 8 weeks old must be microchipped.

 Stray Cats

  • Check with neighbors
  • If the cat is friendly take it to your local vet so they can scan for a microchip. If the vet finds a chip they can contact Pet Log.
  • Ask your vet if they have a "lost and found" register.
  • Put up posters in local vets surgeries, shops, post offices and street posts etc.
  • Post lost/found strays on social media yours, local community, RSPCAs. Include where lost/found, what day gone missing and contact details. Don't forget to contact your local RSPCA branch by telephone or on their social media accounts as well. They will be happy to help you.
  • Contact "Pets Located". An online service for reuniting owners with their pets.

Please note: If you have done all of the above and the owner has not come forward after 14 days, you can safely adopt the cat as your own if you wish to do so.
