About Newport Animal Centre

The RSPCA Newport Animal Centre is in the city of Newport, South Wales and is within easy reach of the M4 just off Junction 24.

We are a small centre and care for various domestic animals such as  dogs, cats and a selection of small furries like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters.  All the animals currently available for rehoming you will see on 'Find a pet', if you are interested in a specific animal please complete the online application form, this can be found in the animal's profile on 'find-a-pet'.

VIEWING OF ANIMALS - For improved animal welfare, visitors are no longer able to walk around the Centre without a prior appointment. Appointment visits are arranged only as part of the new rehoming process

SHOP & RECEPTION - Our reception has a small shop selling a variety of pet equipment such as harnesses, collars, leads and beds. We also stock a great selection of enrichment items as lickimats, wobblers, kongs etc that can help prevent stress and boredom. We also have a limited range of animal food and healthy raw hide free meat treats.  Please think of us if you need to buy items for your new adopted pet - all the proceeds go straight back into the centre to help raise funds to help the animals in our care.

Reception is open daily 11am - 3pm (CLOSED ALL DAY WEDNESDAY)

We are open for visitors to our shop, to receive donations and general reception enquiries. TEL: 0300 123 0744
