Wiltshire-Mid Branch

History of the branch

The RSPCA Wiltshire Mid Branch (charity number 205295) was officially registered on 22 March 1962 and has been supporting animals across our local communities ever since.

As part of the wider RSPCA network—founded in 1824 to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to animals—our branch operates as an independently run, volunteer-led charity, dedicated to improving animal welfare at a local level.

For over 60 years, we have worked within our community to provide practical support for animals in need, including financial assistance for veterinary care, promoting responsible pet ownership through neutering and microchipping initiatives, and offering advice and guidance to pet owners.

Today, we continue this work across Devizes, Melksham, Warminster, Westbury and surrounding areas, remaining true to our roots as a self-funded branch powered by volunteers and local donations, with every penny raised going directly towards helping animals in our care.
