How we help local animals
Wigan, Leigh and District Branch is a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA and we must raise our own funds in order to continue to help local animals.
Our low cost welfare vet clinic is open to dogs and cats of local people who are on a means tested benefit.
It costs £15,000 a month to run the branch; we receive no government funding and rely on your donations and legacies to continue to help sick and injured local animals.
We are currently working in partnership with the Cats Protection charity to offer a £10 cat neutering scheme, including microchipping
Our charity also offers a telephone advice and support line to the public
As a small charity our Branch is unable to contribute towards private vet care costs
