Time for animals?
We at RSPCA Sussex North branch do important work in a local community and being a volunteer for the branch is an extremely rewarding task.
There’s a fantastic group of dedicated volunteers who help run the branch, each facilitating an important aspect of making the charity work. From taking phone calls, managing our finances, organising neutering, liaising with our vets, helping to rehome our cats, even feeding the cats in our small cattery every day; everyone plays a very important role.
We also meet as a committee every month, updating each other on the good animal welfare work being done, to discuss upcoming events and activities and to find out about the work of the local RSPCA inspectors and the national RSPCA so that we can support them in their activities.
We are very sorry but we are unable to cater for Duke of Edinburgh placements. Unfortunately due to insurance and health and safety issues, we are unable to accept volunteers under 16 years of age. Please visit the national RSPCA website , where you can find lots of fun things to do, plus information about teenage membership which costs just £10.00 a year.
Under 16s may like to consider doing some fundraising to help support our work. Any money you are able to raise will go straight to helping the animals. If you would be interested, please visit the RSPCA website for fundraising ideas and to order a fundraising pack.
We are currently unable to respond to enquiries about volunteering. If we have any vacancies, they will be listed below with details of how to apply within the advert.
