Say a big hello to our dinky girl, Susan! Susan is a black, semi-longhaired cat estimated to be around 2 years old, with kitten-like energy and a kitten-like stature. She came into RSPCA care along with her brother due to financial reasons. Susan was having a severe flea allergy reaction when first admitted, having bitten her own tail numerous times causing wounds and scabs to form. This was shaved to allow proper treatment of her cuts - hence the slightly pipe cleaner look as her fur continues to grow back! Susan is now fully recovered and ready to find her new family. Could it be with you?
This little lady is truly unique and full of character. She's incredibly entertaining to watch and interact with, equally happy to find her own fun as she is to hang out with her humans. Susan is an affectionate girl, keen on giving headbumps and purring away like a tractor. Without her noticing her tongue often peaks out into a small 'blep' - with her wide eyes and dark fur, it certainly gives her a comical appearance! She likes to clamber onto your lap and up your chest if she can to give you a sniff and a face nudge.
When playtime is go, Susan is a complete speed demon. She'll tear around with zoomies like nothing else, coming to stop in front of you to stare and meow her findings, before her fluffy airplane ears are activated again and she's darting off somewhere else. There'll be no shortage of fun with Susan around! She loves to play with all manner of toys, batting around foam balls and chasing after feather wands.
To manage her allergies going forward Susan will need frequent prescription flea treatment from a vet. She was incredibly patient and well-behaved during the period she needed to wear a cone and have medication, and fully deserves to find a home with a family obsessed with her delightful antics! She will need to be the only cat in the home, as she has shown strong negative reactions towards other cats in care (including her brother) and will also need a dog-free space. Susan could live with young children of primary school age and will require a safe outdoor environment to explore once settled.
